Interactive Brokers - Pro - US

  1. Is there a way to get a US IBKR account other than being a resident?

Maybe with a TIN? or registering a corporation in US?

Interest rates for margin is much lower for US Pro users VS all other counteries.

    Thanks,

  2. Only for those countries where IB has a subsidiary (e.g. Europe, Japan, HK, India, Australia) will new clients be directed to that subsidiary. Otherwise you will be directed to IB US. So you don't necessarily have to be a resident in the US.

The default is PRO outside of the US so assuming you qualify for a margin account you will obtain the low margin rates independent of where you are located.
