Will IB ever fix the current VWAP indicator or add a separate Intraday VWAP Indicator? The VWAP as is, is completely useless-Not certain what it is calculating. This is a simple request and fix that other brokers seem to offer without hassle. Why does IB refuse to add this very important and ULTRA popular indicator?
VWAP is a single line indicator for intraday trading and its setup as such with other broker platforms. IB has 3 lines; standard deviations etc., totally not keeping score of anything useful for intraday trading. How do you find the current indicator helpful? How do you use it?
I just use VWAP as the daily avg price... so I know whether it's trading rich or not... I don't look at VWAP lines... just the # for the current trading day.
Oh yes, the VWAP # displayed along the bottom of the chart is fine, but its doesn't have the option to chart it.
Almost comical that they have 500 indicators, of which I use zero, but this VWAP on the chart is beyond them. They already calculate it, so all they would have to do is chart the number they already have in the database. I think its some kind of corporate sadism. PS both the other platforms I use have any kind of VWAP you want

I voted on them all and even added my own VWAP suggestion. Traders have been requesting since the beginning of time. I wish I had known this before joining IB two months ago. To my own fault, I mistakenly assumed this professional and highly rated brokerage would have the basics.
