    Hi to all,

IB is down now from very early morning today. I tried to log in multiple times from tws, web trader, web site and mobile app without any success.

Server appears to be disconnected. I have important investments to manage and there is not a single note, email or whatever that mentions the issue.
NEver seen anything like this in my whole life. Time to flee IB for sure after clearing the issue. I had stop loss orders that should have been activated according to the market this morning. The problem is that I tried to log in this morning in order to lift the stop loss and this has made me lost a huge sum of money.

Any previous experiences like this before ?
    I am still in shock!

Have you tried picking up the phone to tech support rather than posting on a forum?
You also have the trade desk to adjust your stops.
My connection is fine by the way so maybe it's a local issue?

I was locked out for 2,5 hours. This is pretty bad also considering that a few days ago the same thing happened for 1 hour

The reality is that systems can and do fail from time to time. That is why a good support team is so important with back up systems. Lightspeed and Lime have that.

I have tried... and after a while of useless waiting, I gave up. For some reason, the more you need help, the less you can count on the call center (of course, that's not just IB, that's what normally happens for any supplier).

Anyway, all now is fine for me, the problem is resolved, but there were no doubt it was an IB issue (a server issue), and not a client issue.

For me, it was the first time after a lot of years of usage, so, yes, it was scary... and you come to ET forum just to check how large the issue was...

I’ve been trading roughly 16 hrs a day the last 2 weeks straight and not one hiccup with Ib have I seen . And that’s probably 5000 plus contracts .

  9. Same here. No problem.
