What do you do when so many names on your screen are insolvent and unable to finance themselves?

On my screen, the list is Wachovia (WB), General Electric (GE), Freddie Mac (FRE), Fannie Mae (FNM), Lehman Bros (LEH), Merrill Lynch (MER), Morgan Stanley (MS), Ford (F), and Regions Financial (RF).

    GE ? Is that right?

  2. i know that GE is involved in a little of everything. what is their subprime exposure level?

  3. Just a guess, but I think it's supposed to be GM (or maybe WaMu?)

If GE goes down the only things worth owning are guns, ammo, and water.

  4. GE is the original DJIA stock. It's not insolvent and will probably be around much longer than you or I. GM on the other hand is a piece of shit company. If it does not declare bankruptcy by 12/31/08, I'll leave the forums forever. Gm is like a zombie, it should be dead.
