So if you buy this ETF through a broker, you will be charged 5% upfront?

 

The 100bps management fee alone is outrageous.

Sounds like the old load fee for Mutual Funds. It was often 5-10%. I remember in my old 401K which was run by State Street back in the 1990s, probably half the funds were load funds but if you bought their in-house funds they were no load and had minimal management fee.
