Hello, I need a good trading course that will trade indexes. I heard that from these ones as a day trader you can make up to 20-30M$. So I`m very interested in them and whatever information that can get me there. So if anybody can be serious and not make jokes tell me some good courses that will teach you how to trade indexes. Thank you
Hey, seriously, anyone making $20mln+, dosn't bother selling you a course... It's not easier to make $ with indexes, it's just the leverage, which can go against you as well.
Think about it for a second... If the market does indeed offer the opportunity to make millions. Why would anyone in the possession of that knowledge sell courses and give away their system? The logical conclusion is that the courses are either insufficient (but possibly containing some worthwhile elements) or complete garbage. I'm sure there's public knowledge that can be worthwhile, but I would bet that 95% of courses fall into the latter category. The worst courses are probably those that seem to make sense for someone green as you fall under the illusion of actually learning something worthwhile that just doesn't hold up in actual trading.
Are there any courses that are good to teach you trading in general? Reading the whole forum and coming up with your own strategy doesn`t work for me. Because I`m the first one to admit that I`m not the smartest person in every room I go into. I have tried to understand it all without a course but couldn`t have success.
I haven't taken any courses, so I'll leave that for others to answer, but make sure they disclose whether they're actually making any money before making recommendations to you. Most of the people giving you advice are probably still struggling themselves and certainly not bringing home millions. Day trading index futures (and learning to do so on your own) is probably the hardest way in the world to be making money, so the best advice you'll ever get is to give up before even trying. I don't say this to be mean or discouraging, but in order to help you and save you a lot of trouble. Consider low leverage swing trading instead. Maybe check out Quallamaggie (a Swedish swing trader who shares stuff for free as he's a real trader and doesn't need to sell courses).
What do you hope to accomplish with a course? At best you might get a system that works some of the time. It will still boil down to keeping your losses small. Decide what you want to trade. Explain why!! Then study that market. Find a set-up you think will give you and edge. Then try and disprove that theory.
Forget a course. Just open a chart and use your God given intuition and figure out what the price is doing. Now do that for 3-6 straight months and you will naturally gravitate towards certain patterns that are repeatable. You're actually in a good spot since you're brand new. Keep that biases out and see if you can just trade by observing.
I've been trading, managing or structuring and selling derivatives for close to 30 years now. My whole career has been spent trading index options- specifically. I run the company in my namesake (username here) and our specialty is actually teaching retail / non-institutional traders the mechanics of the SPX- ie., order flow patterns, systematic vs discretionary order flow, reality of 0DTE impact (word of advice- ignore ZH in that space), the true dealer position and the impact of market structure/systematic flows on index & volatility pricing & trends I've not once seen any website or course offering the type or depth of training that we offer, when it comes to assessing market impact. (and yes the market is deep and varied- the old adage "they'd never teach a secret" etc, is outdated logic- maybe it applies in some obscure weather strip futures product, idk... indexes=very liquid) What you are asking for seems like a joke or an impossibility. I would never in a million years tell someone to expect numbers like that. (what is your starting point)? Even in the better prop shop setups I've been a part of or known successful traders in- nobody goes in with expectations like that. This industry is a grind and there are no magic bullets. Just mastery of its physics.
