In China What Happen If You Don't Like The Data

    Yeah, I found that announcement funny, though I should not even laugh about it as it's been going on for nearly 2 decades. But don't make this mistake: just because something is not published does not mean it's not measured and recorded.

    There is no investment acumen in China that would make any portfolio manager perform better than others. It all comes down to how connected you are and what access to insider information you got. Like with most things in China it's not what you know but whom you know.

    This has been ridiculed and debunked for few weeks now in mainstream and Bloomberg headline, writing the wrong facts. China overall unemployment rate is 5.3%.

    16 year old is in 10th grade, while 24 year old is finishing college, why would one claim statistical significant about the youth employment problem, because they are in school.

    In comparison, our youth unemployment is 19.2%, July 2023 data.

    It doesn't matter to the trader because most of the time,
    the market moves not because of economic data releases.

    It is trivial news actually.
    It doesn't matter much to the Chinese as they are used to the authorities censoring this and that.

    Still comical though that they would stop publishing the entire statistics because it's too bad.
