I've had some Ferraris and Lambos in the past, but after buying a Tesla Model S P100D a few years ago, I've never looked back at the luxury Italian brands since. There's just no comparison. The Tesla is just superior in every way. There's just no way that combustion-based vehicles can keep up with the raw power and torque of high-end electric cars.

A Tesla Model X Plaid SUV will smoke that Ferrari Purosangue for 1/3rd of the price. Hats off to Ferrari for giving it their best effort but outdated technology is outdated technology.

you don't appreciate the roar of the engine when you press the gas?

it's not faster than a Model S plaid. And while a ferrari will corner better, we can only experience that on a track.

There's something emotional about that sound.

Try doing a long road trip in a noisy vehicle and see how you feel at the end of the day.

Who does a long trip in a Ferrari! I mean, what do you pack in it's 6 cubic-foot trunk? A couple of sodas?

I actually have a Model S Plaid these days, and let me tell you that the so-called "emotional connection" that people think they have with their combustion cars completely vanishes when they get smoked by an electric car like mine. And when I mean smoked, I mean it's not even close. And that's including all the current Ferraris, Lambos, Mclarens, etc.

I had a plaid on order but cancelled it the day it was ready for delivery. I heard bad things about the yoke steering wheel and didn’t like how Tesla behaved through the process. They were dishonest about the pricing and had offered free arachnid wheels but then reneged on it and they kept changing the financing terms.

I had an S 100 before. I liked it as a sedan but it rarely got my heart pumping like my exotic cars.
