In a Private Dinner, Trump Demanded Loyalty. Comey Demurred.

  2. I am so old I can recall when newspapers actually reported mainly something called "news", which was generally understood to consist of verifiable facts.

Now entire stories featuring wild accusations are based on supposed anonymous sources, even when there is no obvious reason for such secrecy. Time after time, most recently yesterday, we find that such stories are not only a bit off the mark but totally false. The reasonable conclusion is dirtbag journalists make up stuff that supports their partisan bias. No one can really deny that they are totally in the bag for the left, not after the Podesta leaks. You'd think after that scandal they would bend over backwards to act professionally but that is not part of the job description now.

  3. Trump claim Comey did not do his job is why he fired him. Hmm? Trump have the history of saying this to many people for to justify his corruption.

"At Monday night's debate, Donald Trump was called out for stiffing the people who work for him. Trump has been accused of failing to pay hundreds of contractors. And so far, he hasn't seemed very sorry. When asked about failing to pay someone by Hillary Clinton this week, Trump replied, "Maybe he didn't do a good job and I was unsatisfied with his work."

Today, when I hear Trump brag about paying small business owners less than he agreed, I get angry.

He's always suggesting that the people who worked for him didn't do the right job, didn't complete their work on time, that something was wrong. But I delivered quality pianos, tuned and ready to go. I did everything right. And then Trump cheated me. It's a callous way to do business.

Yeah once respected news networks have turned into TMZ, they dont seem to give a shit about credibility anymore as long as it generates clicks. Half of the shit they pass as news wouldnt even pass at a bar where you are bullshitting with a bunch of friends.

Like think about how insane this story is from the NYT, supposedly Trump demanded loyalty from Comey, then when he refused Trump turned around and fired him. In what kind of ridiculous world would you have to live in to think that even has a shot at being true. Are these clowns too stupid too think that no one in their right mind would can a guy who had dirt on them, or are they just too blinded by partisanship that they will buy into anything as long as its negative Trump. Apparently a whole room full of editors thought that story was worth printing, all because they dont seem too care about credibility anymore, and they know libs will click on it.

Their job is to get democrats elected and keep them in power. That's why today they look like such failures.

Indeed, it is poetic justice that the tattered remains of these once great news organisations are now in shambles just like the democratic party who they pushed off a cliff.

If it wasn't for the tweets I wouldn't know what the heck is going on. Following CNN is like trying to figure out a soap opera. Lot of drama but same scene everyday. NYT? Buy a paper, show your support for the democrat party. They need a little cup for spare change to Keep the Party Going! donate here. All the news you wish was true. And here to discuss the latest developments are all of Trumps enemies. Oh well, after all the advertisements they sometimes have some funny tv ads.

This One Screenshot Captures Everything Wrong With Media Coverage Of Trump

MAY 11, 2017 By Bre Payton

Today much of the media have spent the day freaking out over a Time magazine feature on how President Donald Trump spends his time “after hours.”

A portion of the 3,803 word-long article that’s been getting so much attention from Twitter accounts with blue check marks describes Trump dining in the Blue Room of the White House.

The waiters know well Trump’s personal preferences. As he settles down, they bring him a Diet Coke, while the rest of us are served water, with the Vice President sitting at one end of the table. With the salad course, Trump is served what appears to be Thousand Island dressing instead of the creamy vinaigrette for his guests. When the chicken arrives, he is the only one given an extra dish of sauce. At the dessert course, he gets two scoops of vanilla ice cream with his chocolate cream pie, instead of the single scoop for everyone else. The tastes of Pence are also tended to. Instead of the pie, he gets a fruit plate.

CNN’s coverage of the dinner was anything but calm. The network known for its snarky chyrons had this to say about ice-cream-gate.

“PRESIDENT GETS 2 SCOOPS OF ICE CREAM, EVERYONE ELSE 1,” the chyron reads.

This brings me to the obvious question: WHO CARES? Who cares if the president’s waitstaff are able to anticipate his preferences and have a Diet Coke or a second scoop of ice cream ready? That’s called good customer service! The White House waitstaff serve Trump nearly every day, so of course they know what kind of dressing he likes on his salad or what his beverage of choice is. And why are we all assuming that the other dinner guests couldn’t just ask for another scoop of ice cream if they wanted it? I have a hard time imagining the White House kitchen staff denying someone more dessert.

But that’s not how the inside-the-Beltway folk see it.

Earlier today, The Atlantic‘s David Frum tweeted a screen grab of the aforementioned portion of the article, and the thread that follows is enough to make one’s head explode.

Jennifer Rubin chimed in with this gem.

Really? Eating two scoops of ice cream is “a man unable to restrain his urges”? If that’s the case, cart me off to a loony bin, because I’ve polished off a pint of Ben and Jerry’s by myself more than once!

Slate’s Daniel Summers had this to say.

So does this mean The National Enquirer is fake news? Or are we just talking about CNN and msnbc.
