I’m currently using tradestation and shorted shot around 12ish. I want to get out of my position in the after hours however tradestation won’t let me for some stupid reason
i know that i’ll now be charged a fee but i’m not sure what that fee is called ? my position is around 300 shares with the avg price of 1.48.
what is the term of the fee that i’ll pay for holding shorts overnight ? thank you

The fee you're referring to for holding short positions overnight is commonly known as "overnight financing" or "borrowing cost." It's essentially the cost associated with borrowing the shares you've shorted for an extended period, in this case, overnight.

The specific amount of the fee can vary depending on a few factors, including the broker you're using and the current interest rates in the market. It's typically expressed as an annualized percentage rate.

To get the exact amount you'll be charged for holding your short position overnight, you should check your broker's fee schedule or contact their customer support. They will be able to provide you with the specific details regarding the overnight financing cost for your short position of 300 shares with an average price of 1.48.
