That's a quote from Ann Coulter recently whose been posting warnings since November, if you ask her. If anybody remembers, i announced here that the train was off the rails shortly after the strange Flynn firing. Side note: Apparently it was not ok for Flynn to lie to the VP, but it's ok for Trump to lie to his supporters about the real reasons for Flynns firing. The real reason was Trump threw Flynn under the bus hoping to take Russia probe heat off his admin (just as he threw Cory Lewendowski under the bus to take heat off his campaign), instead of standing up and going on the offense against the red herrings...intimidated by a pack of lies so easily dismissed. Should we be surprised his DOJ head was equally intimidated (Session's refusal-recusal)? As the racist (Russia is evil!) accusers have tortured Trump every since, perhaps he has deserved it. This and a couple more reasons (mainly the million dollar rocket launches against Syria for the naivest of reasons) caused me to start distancing myself from the train, and put politics in the rear view mirror. I haven't been around much, and whenever i see Trump on TV, i look away and tune it out, just as i did with Obama for eight years. I can keep this up for another seven years until i get interested in whose going to replace Trump in 2020. Tulsi Gabbard? The Rock? Kid Rock? McMaster? General Kelly? Pence? 9-11 anniversary rolls around and it appears Trump is towing the official story line, perhaps a little too close to Mr. 9-11 official story himself, Rudi Juliani. It occurs to me that the great fight against Trump is really a fight to throw off the deception of 9-11, and the damage the self-deception did to this country, beginning with a REPUBLICAN administration, and a candidate who actually lost twice, in Ohio and in Florida, but somehow wedged his way in anyways. 9-11 presaged the "Patriot Act", the TSA and other offensive spy grids against citizens. It all traces back to war-mongering "neo-cons" running game under the Republican banner. Yes, i say, it is this legacy people are fighting when they assume Trump represents all that that was: treason against the people. Given Trump's pick for DOJ, Jeff i-thought-the-kkk-were-good-guys-until-i-found-out-they-smoked-weed Sessions, it does appear that something, just short of treason, is in the works (broken campaign promises at the very least). Cernovich calls it "gaming his base". The people fighting Trump are still deeply deceived about 9-11, such that they really don't know up from down from Building 7. And so, fighting blindly, they remain deceived, unable to tell the truth about Trump, Russia, or 9-11. Appropriately, Hillary remains their ideological leader, self-deceived, and blaming others. Oh yah, finally, getting to my main point. During the campaign we found out that some of Trump's contractors did not get paid. The reason's Trump gave reminded me of the reasons one developer gave me for not paying me. I thought to myself, i wonder how this character issue will translate to the administration. It appears we are just now finding out. People who worked for Trump, stood up for Trump, went to bat for Trump...are not getting paid, starting with Ann Coulter. On the other hand, Bill O'Reilly defended Trump to some extent, but then, Bill is or was a die hard 9-11 official story defender. So, maybe the fighters and defenders are equally deceived, and looking for salvation, demand it appear as it is painted by their ignorance. As they say on "Shark Tank"..."I'm out". Don't know if or when i'll be back here. Good1
I empathise with you, I honestly do, but the sentiment is wrong. Essentially what you are doing is burying your head in the sand and passing the buck to someone else, which is an act of selfishness. You can't escape politics because it exists everywhere on the planet. Politics is a process of organization at various levels, from the sophisticated to the most basic aspects of life. So let's say you move into the wilderness to escape everything, and you have nothing but some basics to survive. On the first day of your chosen new life, you meet Mr. Rattle Snake? It's a political situation and you have to make a decision, walk around him or kill him before he kills you. Western society has succumb to the illusion of permanency, and the prevailing individual attitude seems to be, "I'm ok, so f*ck everything else".
I see three possible explanations. 1. Trump has regressed to his earlier life as a rich guy from NYC who gets his opinions from the NYT editorial page and who craves the approval of the rich and powerful. 2. Trump has gradually ceded control of his administration to a group of apolitical apparatchiks who are obsessed with procedure and minimizing controversy. 3. Trump is actually under some form of coercion from the Deep State or its actors. This could take the form of blackmail against him or his family or actual physical threats. The departure of longtime bodyguard Keith Schiller seems ominous in this light.
The first hypothesis seems plausible but Trump has exhibited hardline opinions on immigration and foreign policy for a long time. People are retweeting his tweets from 2013 regarding amnesties, etc. The second is obviously happening, but Trump had to pull the strings to make it happen. Perhaps Javanka convinced him the locker room Oval Office atmosphere was not working and he had to run a tighter ship. What is unknown is the effect of losing new right voices such as Bannon and Gorka. Is he actually isolated? What about Don Jr and Melania? The third option seems far-fetched but can we really rule it out? The two generals Kelly and McMasters make little effort to hide their disdain for him. Ditto Gary Cohn, the weasel from GS who thought he had the Fed chairmanship locked up. Mueller looms over everything. Perhaps we are overreacting. Trump has shown little skill in dealing with the congress or the bureaucracy. He is hamstrung by an ineffectual republican congressional majority that would have preferred for his opponent to have won. He is a political neophyte and possibly has merely made a serious mistake in assessing the reaction of his base to the DACA fiasco.
I won't be voting for Trump in 2020. Not unless the Democrats nominate another thoroughly corrupt candidate like Hillary again.
He couldn't raise money and he was one of the early ones to drop out in 2016,doubt he would do better in 2020
Jem, please don't take my post as condescending, it's not about one person, everyone needs to be onside. So it's a Republican thing. Do you understand?
Its tax payers vs. the establishment republicans, democrat leadership, most democrat politicians and the cronies who own all of them.
