http://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article205249624.html The Senate Rules Committee on Wednesday appointed the first undocumented resident to a statewide post, according to Senate President pro Tem Kevin de León's office. Lizbeth Mateo, a 33-year-old attorney and immigrant rights activist, will serve on the California Student Opportunity and Access Program Project Grant Advisory Committee. The committee advises the California Student Aid Commission on efforts to increase college access for California students from low-income or underserved communities. "While Donald Trump fixates on walls, California will continue to concentrate on opportunities," de León said in a news release. "Ms. Mateo is a courageous, determined and intelligent young woman who at great personal risk has dedicated herself to fight for those seeking their rightful place in this country." In a statement, Mateo said she welcomed the opportunity. “While undocumented students have become more visible in our state, they remain underrepresented in places where decisions that affect them are being made," she said. According to de León's office, Mateo graduated from Santa Clara University law School in 2016 and passed the California bar last year. She was born in Oaxaca, Mexico and came to the United States with her parents when she was 14, according to de León's office.
Arrest her. Immedietely. Also its time to invalidate election results from California due to them issuing illegal aliens drivers licenses which allow them to illegally vote. California, I predict, will lose a series of lawsuits with the federal government. A Consent Decree will be issued by a federal judge effectively ceding governance of California to the feds similar to what has happened with the city of Chicago. California will have its justice system taken over the the federal goverment for some unspecified period of time. That is what happens, they take your political power.
I heard some open border lefty immigration lawyer spokesman arguing on Tucker/Mark Stein that she was DACA and a clear example of why we need to do this, that and otherwise to protect and elevate DACA "kids." However, just to put a little wrinkle into the pot, I heard on another report or read something that said that she is not DACA. Not registered DACA eligible. Allegedly she did not qualify because during her period of previous DACA registration she traveled back and forth to Mexico which is a no-no. I am not in a position to know what the right answer is- just sayin that when you ask "what is the holdup" some people are puking up the usual answer about how things are still being settled for DACA kids, but it is not clear that she is eligible. Of course, as we know, one of the reasons that the DACA deal fell apart is because the dems are trying to include the definition of "DACA" to include some people who are not even here yet but should be according to them. "DACA" used to relate to a specific executive order. Now it is sort of a free-floating concept. You know, as in "this country was founded by people who came here under DACA." If she violated the DACA rules, and is not on the DACA registry, she is just another illegal immigrant and not covered by the temporary protection to the extent that there is any anyway.
