Ignore thread?

  1. Is it possible to put a thread to ignore? Just look at the Journals section... 4 threads to take $1k - $10k to $30 mil. or something... I put that person on ignore, but that doesn't make these pie in the sky threads disappear. Can we have such a feature please?

  2. It would be even better if the admin could close one of the duplicate threads that appears in both journals and technical sections. Why are we now having 2 threads with all the same posts in 2 sections of ET?

  3. And we got another winner. T3 live is in both classifieds and data feeds. Same post by same OP. Really do we need to have someone spam all the threads on ET?

  4. And now another thread Weekly Forex is in Index and Forex by same OP.

  5. Also, why does the Admin not close 3 of these threads and allow the OP to post in just one. The OP can still have 4 systems he wants to talk about, but in a single thread.

Actual duplicate threads are always removed when we see them. But don't confuse that with a thread that has been transferred to a different forum with a "Moved" redirection left at the original location. That way those looking for the thread at the old location can still find it but when they click there they are immediately taken to the thread at the new location. So it may appear that the thread is in 2 locations but it's really not. Those redirects are usually set up for a couple of days and then they disappear.
