Is there a configurable option to go back to how the ignore list would ignore threads made by those you have on ignore?
Why not just use some self-control. DO NOT click on threads that DO NOT interest you? Can't get much simpler than that.
I have to agree with this one. TL has this feature and it did no good whatsoever. Think of it as an exercise in discipline. Honing one's Zen. Letting Go. Unless it's some pest in your own thread, in which case you can complain to your Mod.
It's not about self control. I don't focus on who starts the threads. If I see a topic that sounds interesting, or something I might want to understand better, I click it. Then I see the dope from my ignore list and the first post is invisible (which I don't click). This is the feedback section. It's frequently used for folks expressing feedback or suggesting features. That's what I'm doing. Piss off if you don't like it.
selfâcon·trol noun \-kÉn-ËtrÅl\ Control over your feelings or actions. Restraint exercised over one's own impulses, emotions, or desires. Synonyms restraint, self-command, self-containment, self-control, self-discipline, self-government, self-mastery, self-possession, self-restraint, willpower.
Don't be an idiot. It's impossible to tell who started what thread on the title page. And it's tres annoying to click on an interesting looking topic that you then find out was started by some clown you put on ignore for good reason. This problem didn't exist before the change.
You don't have to be Einstein to figure out who started a thread without clicking on it. You and Tsing Tao require too much hand-holding, can't you guys figure anything out on your own?
Obviously my advice to tell you not to be an idiot comes WAY too late. OK, 'genius', point out the thread-starters on these two pages: http://www.elitetrader.com http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/ And don't embarrass yourself further by suggesting we should always go to the forum pages before clicking on threads, because that's just stupid on a level impossible to put into words.
