If you were to build an addon for a charting package, which would you start with?

I am working on developing some innovative technology that would work as an add-on to a charting app. I am using it mainly for my own trading purposes but I see this as an opportunity to possibly sell it at a later date (moderators, I'm not advertising a product here, I'm asking some hypotheticals and looking to get ideas about the software for active traders).

So my question is, which of the major charting apps have the best audience. I would consider the best audience to be one that is large, actually trades, and would consider spending a small additional amount of money to bolster their trading.

I'm not going to get into what it is, I don't think anyone cares. At the moment it's an idea that may only have value to me, but I'm just thinking ahead here and hoping to get some insights from fellow traders.

Currently I prefer AmiBroker as it has very strong hooks for customizing. I've tried MultiCharts but it's crippled in terms of customizing (and I don't mean EasyLanguage, I mean actually customizing the interface through code). The other big favorites appear to be QuoteTracker.

I suppose I could just implement my ideas for the package I prefer myself, but if there's another package out there that's as good as AmiBroker and might have a better audience for addons later, I am wondering what that is.

Thanks for any insight. Happy trading.
