When I was in corporate america and behind a firewall I could not trade futures with any real platform because I was blocked from connecting.. Also, you may not want to download trading software (execution, charts, etc.) to a work computer. At first i started using remote desktop websites and it was working just fine until my firm started blocking certain websites and remote desktop sites were part of the sites blocked. That really sucked. I got lucky and found TeamViewer http://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx (free!) It worked great and I traded away. Just left my computer on at home and logged on from work. Also, I don't think it gets logged like websites you visit because its just a small application, not a website that you use to connect to your home computer. Just wanted to share. I'm sure many of you in your cubicle will find this handy. Great solution.
