If you don't read Fooled by Randomness and The Black Swan, you'll be a naive trader?

  1. If you don't read Fooled by Randomness and The Black Swan (books by Taleb Nassim), you'll be a naive trader?

thanks for that , I am a naive trader
I have always had my suspicions but now your post confirms my state of mind

  3. I have a 1st edition signed copy of both and never read either one.
I guess that makes me naive "AND" richer for the purchase because of the value of "Fooled" has increased since I got it. "Swan" I see as kindling as it ages.

If that's true, sucks for me. I too have first editions of both but only have "Swan" signed

Then what will happen to those who haven't read Reminiscences of a stock operator?

What kind of traders will they be?

  6. Never read either and you know what...it doesn't freaking matter!

You'll be 10X the naive trader if you don't study the mkt you trade inside and out. Books are ok, but they pale in comparison.

  7. I like fools and their stops, by randomness or any other way.

I also like Boiled White Rice.

  8. Brown rice is much better for you.

  9. Too complicated.

  10. The kind that blow their brains out with a handgun in a toilet after blowing up a fortune in the markets?.
