If AAPL, Weight 12%, moves 1% and somehow no other constituents move then how much does The Nasdaq 100 Index move?

What is the formula for calculating the contribution of
    Constituent Price Move
    to Nasdaq 100 Price Move?

    ... for SP 500?

    How is the Nasdaq Calculated?

The Nasdaq 100 is calculated by market capitalization of its constituents

The value of the index is determined by the aggregate value of the index share weights of each of the index securities, multiplied by each security’s last sale price and divided by an index divisor.

    What Is an Index Divisor?
    Key Takeaways
An index divisor is a standardization figure used to compute the nominal value of a price-weighted market index.
The divisor is used to ensure that events like stock splits, special dividends, and buybacks do not significantly alter the index.
Some divisors, such as the one used to normalize the Dow Jones Industrial Average, are updated regularly.

Size of move * weight in index.

So absent anything else it would move 0.12%.

    Easy, mon!

    That sounds about right;
not that all the other stocks have no volume/impossible, most likely.
The AAPL AUG stock split most likely hurts the DOW.
Too bad perhaps; AUG/SEPT tend to be a bit bearish for dow/spy.
NOT a prediction/not long the dow or BA
