IB says futures are .85 a contract, but when I got to sell a VIX contract it says my commission is $1.50? Are VIX futures unique in that regard? Or are fees included?
In the US, for futures, the trade cost must be calculated as: Commission + Exchange fees + Regulatory fees.
Like everything nowadays. All the add-in admin fees, regulatory fees, taxes, fuel surcharges, planning fees, consultation fees... All this shit nowadays makes up more than 50% and in some cases far more of the final price. That's how you get from a 120k public toilet to a 1.6 million expensive public loo.
"Spread/Slippage", too. With all the costs, difficult to "scalp" and make out. Need to play for bigger to cover the costs and have some left over for you.
