I would like to adjust my delta hedge on my short call position in AMC, but TWS has just informed me that all new purchases of AMC are disabled. Why is that? Was it IBKR's choice to do that, or was it forced on IBKR by the SEC or a clearing broker or somebody? I don't believe any brokers should be blocking people from buying GME and AMC. I've been seeing Dave Portnoy and the Winklevoss Twins and politicians left and right tear robinhood a new asshole on twitter for doing that. I expected better from IBKR.
Same, cool that Pelosi buys Tesla before the electric vehicle initiative is announced...Cool that suits have private "idea parties" and agree to pile together and short a company into insolvency...not cool that poor people trade like they are told to trade in the books and make money doing so.
IBKR is fucking disgusting. Way more disgusting than Robinhood. I am a paying customer to Interactive brokers. Why should I pay when they are NOT WORKING FOR ME??? Not providing me with service ON PURPOSE???!!! I am definitely hunting for non-US, non-EU broker and intend to try shifting my trades on HKSE. I doubt they'll miss me that much as they obviously don't count on their customers for their profits.

Sellers market. Brokers can do whatever they want now if it's legal. Where are you going to go. IB margins are a joke, customer service straight up lies to your face. But there are no options. We need a Musk in the brokerage world that would clear the industry.
