IBIT versus MSTY

Discussion in 'Crypto Assets' started by wxytrader, Nov 7, 2024.

  1. These would be the results if you got in at the start of the rally a week ago.

    25k in IBIT @ $30 = 833 shares @ $43 = $10,083 pnl

    25k in MSTY @ $21 = 1190 shares @ $31 = $11,900 pnl
Plus $4889 in dividends for the month of October.

No contest! MSTY wins. Even without a dividend but with a dividend it's the gift that keeps on giving. :)

It's nice to see my Hulk strategy in action..I told you guys it worked! :)

    I would rather IBIT.

    Msty too risky

  3. Oh grow a pair....the dividend practically eliminates all risk...your break even goes from 21 to 16 after 1 month. Even if the dividend drops which obviously it will, it's still the better choice imo.

I do the same thing with high IV stocks and can return 60% to 80%...this just does the leg work for me...and they have more capital to mitigate drawdowns. :)

The dividend would evaporate if Mstr gets knocked down which it will in due time. Imagine what the dividend would be if mstr drops 50% and you are holding 25k worth?

    Again not worth the risk.

I do own TSLY. Collected dividends almost a year now but you really have to read the risks involved. Some people are throwing alot of money at these extremely high end dividend stocks not knowing the risk.

  6. I will gladly allot a certain amount of capital to generate income...IBIT but would just be dead money the whole time you hold it... especially in a downturn.

  7. There is plenty of room for dividend to drop...this isn't about capital gain, it's about income ..capital gains is a bonus. It will probably perform even better in a downtrend as they are issuing covered calls.

Ehhh my tsly didn't perform so well. Right now though with the dividend payouts I'm up slightly i believe now. I'll have to do the math tonight

  10. That's all you want...keep the dividends coming. I don't care if my principle drops from 25k to $1 if I'm collecting 12-15k in annual dividends. :)
