Hi all Presumably, many IB customers here use a router (with NAT) to connect to PCs running TWS. Has anyone experienced TWS data connection disruptions (eg, prices not being updated) as a result of using a router? If so, has the cause been identified? Thanks.
Not likely the router, unless its set up wrong or defective. I've used a few Linksys routers over many years and never a problem. Try another router to eliminate that as a possibility.
No problem with data on a dual router here but CS says there have been instances where connecting to Account Management using a dual router have occurred. I have experienced the latter.
Are you using web-based TWS or standalone? If the former, use the latter and watch your data connection disruptions disappear! Seriously, I use a router and went through this for months with them. When I changed to the standalone version of TWS, I literally did not have another connectivity problem. Hope this helps.
