I am getting a symbol unknown, error code 366 for these symbols since today's open. Connecting via Sierra Charts. I have tried disconnecting, revising format to MSFT-STK-SMART, no change. Anyone having the same issues?
yeah. i got that too. most likely-it's because those stocks are traded on multiple exchanges. https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/software/api/api.htm String m_currency Specifies the currency. Ambiguities may require that this field be specified, for example, when SMART is the exchange and IBM is being requested (IBM can trade in GBP or USD). Given the existence of this kind of ambiguity, it is a good idea to always specify the currency. however-I always specify the currency in my API request-"USD" and still get same error on those 3 today
i hope someone from IB would explain what is going on and why only those 3 are affected. i mean..i know why it's not working,but i don't know the solution here- http://www1.interactivebrokers.ch/c...ityId=e1394215&lang=en&wlId=IB&showEntities=Y note that CSCO is traded in USD on TWO exchanges AEB and NASDAQ. have no idea what AEB is,but this is the cause. i would try to specify exchange-NASDAQ on top of USD. let me know,if it worked, so i can dig into my apps and make the changes. imo-it's IB just messing around with us, as usual.. note that on link it says-STOCK (5) now -if you pop up CSCO stock and pick AEB-it's NOT STOCK. it says-option combo.. left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing Thank you!
I tried both NASDAQ and SMART, neither works and I've run out of stuff to try. Eg., MSFT-STK-NASDAQ-USD, and MSFT-STK-SMART-USD Trust someone from IB will come along and sort it out.

This is the 2nd day the three symbols are not available. Support ticket status "In Progress". Wonderful, they can't even fix this silly stuff in reasonable time.
try chat with them . it is silly,when they are saying that tickets have bigger priority over chat or even a phone call. i've seen tickets staying open for weeks w/o any respond once again-try to chat,but not with regular support,but with API guys. because it is API problem,not TWS.
