Hi guys, I was reading some threads here today and found that there may be 2 accounts available with Interactive Brpkers - one is IB and other is IBKR - when I read one of thread about the commission free accounts ! Could you please tell me if that is right and if so how do I know which one I am trading with ? Thank you
IBKR is the ticker of the company in the exchange. It's the same company. You just have to look the version Lite. By the way, all that plans of Zero commission is cause it works in a more "open" spread Bid-Ask.
These abbreviations are often used interchangeably. IBKR is the stock ticker of the company, whose name is often abbreviated to IB. However, even at IB they often refer to themselves as IBKR. Yep, all in the name of consistency.
