On Friday June 5th I paid $1.41 to buy 3 MES contracts, that is $0.47/contract. Today June 8th, I paid $5.35 to buy 5 contracts that is $1,07/contract (!!). A raise in commission of about 127% !! Is there anyone else out there who has experienced this ?
You should find the answer in the pricelist they should have given to you when opening an account. You seem to have no clue what the normal commission is. What do they say at IB? https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=43700
[ You have to be missing something as e micro fees have not changed. You sure you're not including pnl or other?
IB is now my broker for 10 years, so I think I have a clue. On Friday they charged $0.25/contract for execution and clearing today they charged $0.85/contract / (Flex statement). And yes it was the same small MES. And please stop posting in this thread if you do not have any constructive answers.
If you have a clue you should know the answer. The only real constructive answer can only come from IB. They should give you a detailed explanation why there is a difference. They charged you, so they know why. On this forum nobody knows the details of your transactions, so nobody can answer your question.
I've asked, if anybody else experienced this commission hike. You did not obviously, so why do you bother ?
Just wanted to help you save time and give the fastest solution to your problem. If I go with my car to the garage for an annual checkup, and the bill is suddenly much higher, I go to that garage and ask an explanation. If they are wrong, the bill can be corrected at once. I don't ask on social media if somebody had the same experience, because after all my garage has to fix the problem. Not the people on social media who had similar poblems.
So you apparently did not understand their explanation. Speaking about bright candles... I will leave you now.
