Ever since recently downloading IB TWS newest version 846.5, the java charts are pegging the CPU of the computer. It is definitely the java charts, as killing the number of charts frees up the CPU when watching Windows task manager. Am running the same number of charts (six) as on the previous version which had no problem at all. Has anyone experienced this problem with this build?

FYI the CPU is an intel P4 2.4Ghz with 1 G of ram. Also the data coming in is only using 2% of the available IP bandwidth.

  2. No insult intended, but are you running most current version of Java. That's been a prob for me in the past.

Delete the log files in ibjts or jts subdirectory, one of the files it was writing to on my pc was 7gb, I freed up 27gb and it worked better afterwards.

Thanks Just21, but the whole IBjts folder is only 151kb and the whole jts folder is only 1.37MB

Also when testing java on the java wesite, they say I have the latest version.

    Must be something else.
