IB introduces "Key Account Services Program"

  1. Anyone else got invited? I've always been a big fan of IB. I hope this programme improves or even eliminates waiting times.

    No but the waiting times will NEVER be eliminated with IB. Just so you are prepared. Looks like you are the only one whose account is big enough to receive this "white glove" treatment.

  5. It would be interesting to compare the level of service now vs before. I actually think they have eliminated waiting times just like the trading desk line. The email states they have a dedicated support team around the globe and phone lines not published anywhere else. Anyway, while I'm thankful for this new programme, I don't call IB that often, probably 4 calls a year max.

  6. I have it. Its just a couple of dedicated kids with a direct line for them. I've never called them but the one time that I emailed them with a question, they said that they would get back to me and I never heard from them again. LOL
    I think that its just a sign that you and I pay IB too much in commissions.

  8. maybe you were just added today. its been around a while. I just checked my old emails. I can't find where I was first added but there was one from 6/18/19 letting me know that they were having a reorg of their key account desk and introducing me to my new dedicated contact. so its been around longer than a year at least.

    And the quality of service is also something that you need to be prepared for. They may answer your calls right away but that doesn't mean they can answer your questions correctly. Very often, you have to go through several representatives before finally getting somebody who's experienced and knowledgeable enough to give you what you are looking for. If they really want to provide the level of service quality worthy of "key accounts", they need to put experienced and knowledgeable reps behind those dedicated phone lines otherwise you are just like the rest of us. :)

    It is for customers who do $400 a week in commissions not have a large account balance.
