(Think of basic models like basic beer, If they don't kill you at least they carry you around). Sales aren't so stupid now, basic model costs double now. Of course I never had a problem with my basic car in the 12+ years I drove it so far, apart from insurance and regular checks. Which again, they aren't so stupid no more.
