As someone who has been reading for a long time, but just started posting, I must say that the quality of ET has declined rapidly. And it is due to the people who post, not the moderators or Baron. I think Baron and the moderators should take a more active role in policing the boards, and ban members who are causing problems and do not contribute in a worthwhile manner. This is not a public board, where anyone can do anything. Baron has the right to do whatever he wishes - ET is his. But, something needs to be done quickly. I know several people who quit coming here and contributing, and ET probably loses several more daily. For some reason, it seems that all of the posters who occupy the Yahoo! message boards have chosen to come here and cause problems!
I agree. Email me if ET ever gets back to being productive. But, in order to do that they need to kick out numerous people and keep the threads on subject. What is sad is that so few can ruin it for so many. Best of luck.
What would the criteria be for this witch hunt? Where would you stop? Who would decide? Censorship is a very slippery slope.

Censorship does not apply to a private forum. I come here to learn more about trading, and exchange information with like-minded people. I don't care about their perceived rights on the ET message board. Too many people here do nothing but cause problems and instigate fights. I don't know if these people have lost all of their money and hang out here to make everyone's life miserable. But, they need to go. And I feel fine leaving it in the hands of Baron and the Moderators. I know I am not one of those people, so I do not have any worries.
AMEN. bring out the lawn mower, and cut these weeds. this place needs help. i read about a tenth of what i used to. it's just not worth my time any more. although i wonder if you could take the raging noise level as a pretty bullish sign.
This is a good post. I am one of the people who does not come here [much] anymore. This advice needs to be implemented.
I know where to start - with the posters on the "Baron has NO clue" and "Whom to ban next" threads! CENSORSHIP RULES! And, it can make ET a great place to learn and share once again! :eek:
