But the thing is...I cant set a stop if I dont have the shares. What I plan to do is play the sideways movement of $DIS with 300 shares. I will hold 100 shares, and not do anything with. I will trade the sideways movement w/200 shares. I want to sell at $135, buy at $132, and repeat. My issue is that I cant set stops for shares I dont own. But Id like to have a permanent stop at $129 to sell all my shares no matter how many I own. I have fidelity. So, can my issue be solved? Is it a broker issue, or?
Sounds like a perfect task for an algorithm. Could be accomplished in about 20 lines of code in Python if you use a broker that provide an API.
%% Sounds like may want to get another broker for 100 shares; + forget about a perma stop @$129;it will not STAY IN A TRADing range forever.
