I am using Knopman Marks study material to study for the series 57 exam. If there is anybody on here that can give me some advice on different ways of studying for it that would be very helpful. The practice test are so difficult and i keep making in the high 40% to low 50%. Can anybody help?
I like STC: http://stcusa.com/Content/CourseView.aspx?s=57 After you learn the material, you do the practice exams with Q&A, learn what you got wrong, then do the practice exams without Q&A. They have a very high pass rate.
I have taken 3 tests with STC. What I find works for me, and I'm not a great student, is to read the material twice and do the questions at the end of the chapter. Then do the Q&A tests. I mark any question I did not KNOW the answer to, even if I guest right. After the exam is over, I slowly go over any question I did not "know" cold. Then I would skim the material again as a reminder, then take the 5 tests without Q&A. I scored over 90 on all three. It never took me more than 30 days to do this, and I was working full time too. Good luck, 1245
Not sure if you have taken it already, but I am using SIA...Securities Institute of America. Already had friends pass with it, but it is a beast.
