I like trading. Who wants to try something new?

It’s been quite some time since I’ve been on here. But I ate too much and can’t sleep so I had a crazy idea.

Short intro. I’ve traded for most of my career. Full time since 2006. I certainly don’t know everything - and almost nothing about equities - but I’ve found most markets have idiosyncrasies that can be exploited.

What I’ve found a bit disheartening is that, like everyone else, I mostly find employees through a combination of headhunters and credential-providing institutions which seems at odds with some personality characteristics that are desirable as a trader and striving for a more pure meritocracy.

I’ve been researching a new market lately that’s very orthogonal to anything else we do. I’m curious if anyone wants to help me out at these initial stages. I know there’s small money at no risk. And huge money at huge risk. I need to ascertain if I can get medium money at very low risk.

Feel free to ask any questions. I’ve been spending 6-8 hours a day on this for the last few weeks. I’ve submitted the paperwork to trade these markets and should be ready to go in 1-2 months. Just need to know python and excel and be able to match my speed.

  3. What's with these posts from traders who apparently have it all figured out but don't have any money lol

I bet Garachen has traders on his payroll who can buy your baby lambo every day.

Years ago I tried to learn VBA but was not smart enough. Now too old and fossilized.

  10. Hey I knew a guy running a prop firm years before they became popular. I never liked the rigid rules but he gave me some great advice. I remember telling him SNAP was a bargain @ $5 in 2018...turns out I was right. Anyway, he certainly isn't posting on forums asking for hand outs. :)
