I bought my first crypto recently and opened a coinbase account to do it. I just noticed on the TradeStation website that they trade crypto. I'm not impressed with coinbase so far and now I'm wondering how well TS handles it. Anybody here have experience with TS and crypto?
If I was a TS sales rep I would watch this forum and jump all over an opportunity to talk about my product.
%% Good points; +i just checked TS, crypt*= last on list. NOT meaning any would get in now LOL; good thing about last on list, if dont get around to it, so much the better. I'm reading J Cramer ''Real Money'', book this month . Real good read\ he may become a sponsor, dont know. But plenty of good things about his trading wife,[Karen] which he admitted was better@ trading than he was LOL
Personally, I believe that crypto is a gigantic decentralized ponzi scheme. But I've been saying that since I first learned what bitcoin was back in 2017. That's when the BTC futures contract was announced, and I thought for sure that it would fall to zero now that hedge funds had a way to short the stuff. I bought a small amount recently because I've ran into LOTS of people this year who are into crypto and believe that the next BTC halving in 2024 is going to fuel the next surge higher. No matter how small my stake in crypto is I'll actually have some if it all happens....
The problem with the next halvening is that Tether hasn't imploded yet. So the ticking time-bomb is still there. No one knows when the run-to-the exits will occur again. All it takes is that one spark... What's interesting, is people have been puzzled for a while why the last halvening did not reach levels that were historically anticipated. Then one of the bombshells that dropped during the SBF trials this week is that they were SPECIFICALLY manipulating BTC by selling customer's funds in order to suppress Bitcoin's price. This was admitted by Caroline under oath. They did not just manipulate the prices of FTT air-tokens, but also BTC itself. People who levered up long did not reach levels they should have... and then got wrekt on the downside as well. Double-whammy.
Am I interpreting wrong or does that sound like BTC is poised to blast off if they can keep the corruption out of it? I would’ve guessed the opposite, that the manipulation was keeping it falsely elevated…..
TradeStation does indeed offer crypto trading services. Many users find it to be a reliable platform with a range of trading features.
Congrats on taking the plunge into the crypto world! It's interesting how many traditional trading platforms like TradeStation are branching into cryptocurrencies. If you're not vibing with Coinbase, it's absolutely worth exploring other options. Each platform has its quirks and features, and what works for one person might not work for another. That said, if you're looking to branch out, I'd recommend checking out https://whitebit.com/. I've had a good experience using it — they offer a wide variety of cryptocurrencies, and their user interface is pretty intuitive. Plus, they've got robust security measures in place and are compliant with international laws.
