For years, I served the government as an enlisted Marine, then NCO, then Officer. I usually trusted 'some' of what they were out to do, but of course, not all, even then. However, I called myself a conservative. After making a comparison between today's liberal (true fascists, and lunatics), and yesteryear's liberal, I found that I'm not only a liberal (of yesteryear's standards), I'm a flaming liberal! Oh my God! I want ALL drugs legal as the government has ZERO business telling me what I can/cannot put in my body. I flip shitty over warrantless government spying on FREE people. (Remember watching libs of the 60's-70's flip shitty over Nixon's Watergate snooping? Watergate's BABY SHIT along side of what Onazi is doing and getting away with! Baby shit!) I DO NOT believe we should be involving oursevles in all of these fucking wars, and being the World's cop! Hell, I was shot in one of them. I earned the right to say this! I mean, I fucking EARNED it! I do not believe my right to free speech should EVER be taken away, yet the government is doing that as we speak, and in more ways than a few hundred! They wish to FORCE whatever the government teaches them upon others. The word FREEDOM makes them angry. They're ok with government censors coming into newsrooms across America and saying what can and cannot be reported.:eek: They're ok with Onazi wanting to attack Syria in what would have been yet another war we couldn't afford; a war where their friends could die, and/or be blown to pieces; a war that would have gotten Russia involved in some form or another... They're ok with the government seizing people's retirement accounts. They're ok with the government taking from those who legally earned what they have, and squandering it on yes, more government. They're ok with fascism in America... Yep, I'm a flaming liberal of yesteryear; a Libertarian. Today's liberal isn't even on the same planet of yesterday's liberal. Not even the same galaxy!
I made the same discovery. not today... but I realize I was the neighbor who worked for the new york times (when I was 11) who was always telling my dad why it was not the russians threatening our liberty by our own govt.
A lot of them support some of this because it's their guy in the White House. If it was a Republican, they'd be against half of it.
