What would be the implications on his presidency to date? Fruit from the poison tree, so to speak, not as it relates to evidence in the true legal sense, but as a matter of policy, etc. Let's discuss.
First you need to explain what you mean by collusion. Then you have to define illegal collusion. Then you have to tell what the crime would be. Then you have to show that Trump was connected. Then you would have to explain that getting campaign intelligence on the other side is illegal and why. But there is no need because there is rumors Mueller will be writing the report for you. You can almost be sure he will say there was no illegal collusion found by the President although Roger Stone may have encouraged the release of stolen emails with wikileaks.
Good points. Let's say, just for the sake of argument, that Trump et al sought the help of Russian nationals to aid them in winning the election. Again, just for the sake of argument, let's say it was proven to a certainty that, in cooperation with the Trump team, Russian influence/interference/assistance skewed the outcome at the urging of the Trump team. I know that this is all pie-in-the-sky, but what would be the potential fallout?
Hypothetically, let's say that the Hillary campaign hired foreign ex spies to try to dig up stuff on Trump and in doing so they colluded with Russian intelligence agents. They came up with a phony dossier that was then used by Obama's administration to get foreign surveillance wiretaps on Trump's campaign. Administration officials then leaked some of that material to the media. And what if the FBI used undercover agents to try to infiltrate the Trump campaign? And even though they had invented the whole thing, they then manipulated Trump's DOJ into appointing a special prosecutor who would try to ruin everyone involved with Trump. Oh wait, we don't have to pretend because all that stuff actually happened and precious little has been done about it.
This happened folks! Hillary colluded with Russian intelligence agents! At least real Nazis were intelligent, these Neo-Nazis are dumb as fuck.
Are you referring to the investigation originally initiated by the Republicans against Trump? I think it comes down to proper channels and conduct. Clearly, the hypothetical example I am referring to is anything but. Come on, use your vivid imagination and engage in this thought experiment.
The republicans funded opposition research. The dossier came about from Clinton funds and maybe FBI funds.
How did Hillary's agents get info on Trump if they did not "collude" with Russian agents? If you need the legal definition of principal and agent look it up before posting.
Groovy. But let's try and focus on the matter at hand. You guys can always start your own thought experiment thread.
