  1. something wrong here, if thats the spread they claim
    some of these names are very pricey and the spreads are a tiny fraction of the trade size.
    =============================================================================

    Among the stocks in the study, the average spread between the bid and offer quotes was 16.8 cents, a range with a midpoint of 8.4 cents. On average, Ameritrade achieved a price improvement of 47% of that spread, meaning sellers got a price 7.8 cents above the quoted bid, while buyers paid 7.8 cents below the offer, figures that are all quite near the midpoint. The comparable figure for the Interactive Broker Pro account was 19%, for an average saving of 2.8 cents.

    Tesla (TSLA), Apple (AAPL), Nvidia (NVDA), AMC Entertainment Holdings (AMC), Nio (NIO), Aurora Cannabis (ACB), Bank of America (BAC), Exxon Mobil (XON), Alphabet (GOOGL), and Visa (V).

  6. Traders Magazine....imagine being featured in an article there. That would be a dream.
    That would make someone like a verifiable ET, extraterrestrial trader,
    What kind of consistent returns are necessary,.,. For someone to write about you in a glowing, magical, light,

    [1,2,3]SEVERAL things wrong there;
    used all 3 of them /not likely TD averages better than IBKR or SCHW.
    [7.8] Few or none of those have a bid ask spread of 16.8/:D:D
    Ameritrade did give me some good fills; but they never gave me a FDX margin call warning in 1987 like they did some:D:D
    Walkin' on sunshine wwoah+ dont it feel good ;
    >70 million video views/Katrina + the waves.
    I have seen some wide extended bid \ask in extended hours/LOL. Nothin' like 70 million.
    Ameritrade did help invest 20 million for another market maker, before big bank bought them.

  10. I wrote software to test order fills at IB and TD. Identical orders were sent within less than 5 ms of each other. IB consistently got better fills that exceeded the commissions and exchange fees you pay at IB.

    That's just my experience. It's not a study. I've sent thousands of orders to IB and seem to get what I expect from them. The TD experience has always been very different.
