Some of that MORE TO COME in previous discussions about the "coming civil war in the dem party" is starting to come home to roost bigtime. link below. If he runs- and I dont know whether he will or not- they are all gameplayers who like their 15 minutes- he probably is not as big a threat as Ross Perot type independents because he hates trump and does not want to go down in history as the guy who got trump elected again. So he would drop out before the election if he didn't think he could win rather than be a spoiler. Doesnt mean he though that at some point he could just drop out and his impact just goes away and the lefties are kissy-faced again. If he runs at all, he will have to spend big bucks and big media and big time to distinguish himself from the dems, and there will be some damage done to the dems where you can't put the genie back in the bottle. You know some of the pundit types say that Perot's impact was definitely not just that he split the vote and ended out helping Clinton, it was more/also that he spent all that time and effort pounding on H.W. Bush so hard that it helped get Clinton votes even if Perot did not get their vote, duh. Anyway, bad time in Camp Trump. Unlike the lefties, the cons dont just go into a trance state and pretend problems do not exist. So if Schultz wants his little 15 minutes of fame, then what the hey, I will take the 15 minutes of entertainment value that goes with it just to lighten the mood a little. I talked to some lefty friends about this Schultz thing - and although they may word it differently- they dont like the idea that Schultz is coming out of the private sector. Private sector is bad- the purpose of the economy is to provide revenue to be taxed. Some of these lefties are teachers, so y'all know the routine. Starbucks does not pay enough, blah, blah, blah, it is better for the employees to be on welfare rather than work, because it is society's fault that they have not developed other skills. Schultz is jewish too and the unspoken truth is that the left is having a major problem with antisemitism these days. Be interesting to know what some of the palestinian bomb throwing, pro-genital mutilation, marry-your-brother-to-get-a-visa type of congress types from places like Minnesota think about having a jewish person running. I am guessing he would be another mother-effer that needs to go. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattl...on-howard-schultz-presidential-run-just-dont/
They are plenty twitchy over at CNN too. Fun to watch em panic. Frigging Wolf says that shultz is "worrying a whole bunch of democrats right now" then the whole bunch of democrats sitting right there as cnn contributors start shiiting their pants as though talking about the Democratic Party is something separate from CNN. Let em work it out on the playground. Probably Schultz is too much of a pussy to run, but as I said above, lots of entertainment value for the 15 minutes he has been around. https://www.morningjournal.com/news...deo_e88edf51-5b7b-5ad5-8fac-c6f35be75d26.html
Howard Schultz will get very fews votes if any. Probably, from Starbucks employees and some RINOs. Trump voters will not waste their vote on him. Atleast, President Donald Trump has your back and done everything he could to MAGA. Senate RINOs have pretty much betrayed President Trump 90% of the time. What they do not say publicly, is that Howard Schultz might siphon campaign funds from rich liberals which is what the Democrats and Hillary Clinton trying to achieve! They do not want the campaign funds flowing Hillary Clinton's way to be reduced in addition to Howard Schultz contributing to Hillary Clinton's campaign if he is not running!
I can think of several loons right off that would get Schultz quite a few votes if the loons become the democratic nominee. Not sayin those votes would take trump down or elevate schultz all that much but races are won on small margins these days. Put one of the well known zeroes up as the dem nominee and some of those voters are going to jump the fence. Schutz just adds to the division in the party when they already have a sizeable division between the so-called progressives and the regular dnc duds. What a mess.
Like Bloomberg, Schultz only talks to people who agree with him or who are kissing his ass, ie campaign consultants. In the real world, people are not all that enthusiastic about voting for some virtue signaling billionaire whose platform is essentially that the country hasn't done enough for big business.
Depends on how far along they get. It goes without saying that billionaires tend to have a lot of money. So if one of them decides to make a run for it then they can afford substantial media advertising which means they end out "talking to" or at least talking at many more people than just their close buddies and bootlickers. Even though they themselves are deluded into thinking they are going to win, a billionaire can still end out doing some massive collateral damage to the dem nominee before they drop out. I will take that. Example: Kamala Harris announced yesterday that part of her platform is the total elimination of private health insurance. Shultz wants to campaign against the dems health care plans if he runs. If he wants to run with that and campaign against it and television ads dinging the dems for months before he drops out, then, again, I will take that. Those are shots against the dems that the pubs dont have to pay for and continues to cause chaos in leftyville. That's fine. I dont have a dog in the fight, and think Trump is probably right that Schultz does not have the guts to run and take negative stuff hurled at him. But I am going to savor the chaos for a few days. As I said, look at em getting twitchy on CNN. Lot of entertainment value there. Watching those pompous arseholes wondering out loud about how the hell Schultz can be raining on their parade when everything is supposed to be about trump just having been defeated by Pelosi. Couldn't he have just held off a few days?
This idea of a viable independent in America is ignorant dream because we are a presidential democracy, not a parliamentary democracy. Multiple parties can run in other countries because they actually have to form a government of the majority and then choose a prime minister to lead the country. In America, it’s winner take all. We have direct elections of the president (albeit indirectly through the electoral college system, which is really a formality and has not been used in its intended way for well over 100 years). An independent or any party that isn’t “federalist” or “anti-federalist” at core such as the republicans and democrats stands no chance. It’s the fight we have been having for almost 250 years - it’s who we are. Schultz is saying vote for me, Me,ME without any real ideas other than what he opposes and Tree is right in that he will get the most tread in what he is against with the democrats because the republicans are all so messed up they are down to only the base hard core and whack jobs. So Schultz is going to go on a vanity tour bashing both parties but it will only hurt the democrats all the while getting him nowhere. Best thing would be to primary Donald Trump, but you can’t do that because the RNC is corrupt and no even holding primaries- amirite, all of you DNC is corrupt people?
Yeah because there is some much support for Howie's brand of leftwing corporatism. Open borders, BLM, tax cuts for billionaires and cut SS benefits for republican voters who paid into the system for years.
