Let's say the GOP pushes to make it go away over a procedural misstep brought about by by calls to rush its conclusion. Or those overseeing it are replaced with flexible actors. Or a SCOTUS is chosen with clear bias that favors Trump, and the strategy is to take it all the way there. Will you be content with making the Mueller investigation go away this way? Would you rather change the rules to favor Trump than bringing Justice? I am genuinely curious about the thinking out there.
If Trump actively tries to dismiss the investigation (which I still fully believe is bullshit) against himself in any overt way, I would say that was a serious conflict of interest.
After yesterday's freakish display of petulance, I would be surprised if Rod Rosenstein lasts much longer. Total shitshow.
You mean the when everyone laughed at the fool about the phone call subpoenas? Hearsay comments from staffers he knows, none under oath? Then he asked one of the head law men a second time of he had made a statement which included something impossible. Yeah..
What does a SOCTUS with "clear bias" mean to the left? Anyone that gets nominated would be my guess. I'd be content with an investigation that actually starts showing some clear evidence of collusion rather than porn stars and long past business deals. That said, I don't think Trump would be best served by "making it go away". Actually it's better for him if this just keeps rolling along with nothing of substance ever occurring. Gives ammo to his claim, this is just a witch hunt. No evidence of collusion equals no one changing their minds come election day.
The investigation is not about finding evidence of his personal collusion, there is extensive evidence of his team's collusion. It is about what the Russians were doing to interfere. Trump is the one driving the 'collusion' diversion, an old trick to confuse the weak minded.
Unless you happen to be a person who worked for him and now your life is ruined, you're bankrupted by legal fees and you can't get a job. Getting Trump was always the first goal but punishing people who worked for him and assisted him was always part of the plan as well.
Russians may be biased, but that doesn't mean they let their bias affect the US elections. We don't have any proof of Russian action actually affecting our election like we have proof of FBI/DOJ affecting our election. Bernie had a chance, a good chance to win, over H Felon, and Trump. That chance was taken away by the DNC shenanigans, and weird FIB/DOJ collusion to keep H Felon running.
Seriously, garbage in and out is all you do. Are you trying to say that yes they did but it was not much? Do you understand that the purpose of the investigation is TO ESTABLISH PROOF OF THEIR INTERFERENCE (or not)?
