When the contested 2000 election delayed George W. Bush's transition, it delayed his national security team and was a contributing factor to the September 11, 2001, terror attacks, according to a finding in the official 9/11 Commission Report.

  3. Really?
I would say it was 99.9999% Bill Clinton’s fault for passing up multiple chances to take Bin Laden out.

Yes he had several chances, Bush W had more chances, the entire might of the US military and it took Obama to end it. Don't forget however that it was a personal grievance between the Bush family and Bin Laden that really put fuel on that fire.

Clinton also fucked up with Rwanda, focusing on the Balkans war. But you know everyone was fat and happy with tech stocks and covid has proved one thing, Americans could give two shits about American lives if there is money in the pocket.

9/11 is now a rounding error in US lives lost because of bad political judgement. A million or so in Iraq and Afganistan of course.
