I am looking to backtest and trade my strategy with Tradelink, but find it difficult to get the source code I have visited their website http://tradelink.org/ but cannot find any links to the source code. The link in the download only direct me to download something call "Glean" which doesn't seemt to be the things i want Does any here have experience with tradelink? can you point me to the right direction?
That is because the open source somehow turned itself into commercial (Glean) software. The source still exists, but I cannot currently find the link. Pracplay is doing their best to remove any bit of evidence that it ever existed as open source in the first place. Sorry to say, you are better off looking elsewhere. Tradelink is effectively gone and Glean is a waste.
Sorry, I haven't been keeping up with what is out there. I think you'll find limited options. You are probably better off finding a paid platform you can build on top of. Or if adventurous, build from scratch.
You can find the source code here: https://bitbucket.org/JDFagan/ I use tradelink to mostly execute limit and stop orders on Sterling. Good luck.
Like Multicharts or Ninja Trader. There are a few more out there with nearly the same capabilities. Tradelink (before Glean) was/is quite capable. But you are on your own if you need something fixed or have a question. There once was a mailing list, but I don't think that has even survived.
I see Ninja Trader based on the IB TWS At last I suggest that he looks as a design of the IB TWS. The Multicharts is interesting platform has SDK I hope API is free. If your broker change something but you can't changing a connector code it will be big problem. And else question: at internet placed two free open source platform 1. StockSharp 2. Len (you can look at github). I see they are almost identical. Who know what open source code they used this platforms or they just copied part code each other?
