just started doing a vps system with alerts being sent to my cell phone text which comes instantly . On my regular system i want to get alert with a different alert sound but they can only be sent through a email . Email on my phone only refreshes every 15 minutes . Is there a way to email the alert to an instant messenger like yahoo or aol which is instant . Want to be able to tell which system i get the alert from .
Most major phone carriers have this ability available to their customers. Search for "email to text at&t" in Google and just replace at&t with whatever your carrier is.
