How to buy the Russian Index Funds? Profit from Putin's Mistake

I am not in support of the War or Putin in any way, but the Russian index is down 86%. At the height of the great depression the dow was only down 60%. This war will end eventually and we might as well own some companies at 90% off. Maybe they will return to 50% off in a few years.

Seems worth a gamble to enter a position here, with some limit buys at down 90% and down 95%.

However all my brokers are not trading any of the indexes. I'm trying to get into RSX or ERUS or some other way in. Fidelity, Etrade, RH all not working.

How can I open a position today?

Bloomberg says there is a japanese fund still operating but I cant seem to buy from fidelity, etrade or any of my accounts. Fund is 1324:JP in the article.

I have had some luck at buying assets when they are crushed and know I can lose all my money invested here. But I am willing to gamble at these levels.

  4. A complete collapse of Russia would make that completely worthless. At the rate that the world is shutting down doing business with them that seems rather imminent

China, India, Pakistan, and I guess many others still want to do business with them. At least half the worlds population.

Be realistic. Russia is not collapsing. Germans and Eastern Europe are not going to freeze because of Biden, who is trying to distract America from his failed economic policies.
It is tradition among US Presidents to get involved in foreign adventures to distract from failed domestic policies. Americans and Europeans don't realize how fragile their economies are. Excessive debt has made them a house of cards or Potemkin villages. Putin has chosen this time to attack Ukraine because he feels foreign economies are at a tipping point.

Wow - so did Biden convince Putin to attack Ukraine to distract from his economic policies or did Putin choose this time because foreign economies are at a tipping point? Make up your mind comrade.

Putin attacking Ukraine was a piece of luck for Biden. By promising not to use force, Biden is trying to prolong his lucky break.
