“This is a guy who has literally been in elective office his entire adult life,” said a strategist for one rival campaign. “He has made his living off the government sector, the taxpayer. He has never really, to my knowledge, had any kind of serious existence outside of the public sector.” All that campaigning, a member of another campaign team added, meant that Walker has been almost continuously running for office for two and a half decades.
This quote could apply to any number of politicians on both sides of the aisle. For the last 8 years, Obama has been campaigning - and he doesn't have another election to win - instead of doing his job.
That criticism of Walker is true and more than a little troubling, but if that is the criterion, you can eliminate pretty much all of the candidates except for Trump and Carson. Hmmm, maybe I'm on to something here.
