These are the questions that should be asked instead of the rules of the game. Looks to me that if their coached funded traders are successful then this would be a group you'd want to be with and if they aren't then you wouldn't want to be with them." This was the answer about 11 months ago "1. Do you have more then 12 traders who have net (before splits) at least 30+k? Do you have more then 4 traders who have cleared 100k (before splits)? We are a young company (Patak Trading Partners 2 1/2, TopstepTrader 2 years old) and to date we do not have more than 12 traders who have net (before splits) at least 30k+. Perhaps someone will give a current update. Crispy are you allowed to speak on this topic ?
volente_00 how much you pull of of market ? If less than 100 000 then you posts are worthless to read ? If Phil Jackson cant beat Michel Jordan on basketball court then Phil Jackson can't never ever be Bulls coach ?
While I agree there can be good coaches who are not great players etc...In trading it can be a little different because you have many of these "teachers/coaches" who say something is "easy" or "just do this or that" and you will become successful..YET, if it were that easy wouldn't they themselves be doing it? I believe we can learn something from just about anyone...but I'll admit I feel a lot more comfortable learning from someone who has proven results, esp. in the trading world because there is so much smoke and mirrors...
I am not in management, nor am I an employee. I just trade a piece of the pie. I know at least one guy who has been there a year. He is my friend and the one who challenged me to try my hand in the combine. Other than that I have no idea. Why do you care anyway?
While they do offering coaching services, the combine is a self study. And the the guys at TST are the only ones I have heard talk about how hard trading really is vs the other vendors. The combine is a journey you take a alone. So just to clarify, TST is not "teaching" you anything. The market will be your teacher and what a teacher it is.
Volente has admitted he is a vendor and coaches students. I guess he sees TST as a threat. LOL. Hell his students probably asked him to do the combine and he refused.
I would like to hear from that guy. After all, what is better advertisement than showing the costumers' yachts/satisfaction? I assume he is happy with them. What account he is backed with? ----------------------------- And why can't we discuss vendors, specially in the Prop Firms subforum?
a vendor ? LOL You have me confused with austin I said I have mentored people in the past. I have never charged anything for helping and was simply trying to pay it forward. I figured out a long time ago I am a better trader than teacher. From my experiences I don't think that trading can be taught because people want to do things their own way that meshes with their personality. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to teach how you personally trade and the other person can't replicate your results even as they sit by you as you walk them through it. That is why I don't think vendors selling are worth a shit because even if they are great traders, the person buying the program will 95-99% not be able to replicate the same results. I will tell you right now I don't think I could pass a combine because the loss parameters are to strict to allow you to be long term profitable. BTW why are their still profit objectives on the new combines ?
