Can you provide the detail of the trade? Basically you are sell a put spread where the max loss is 20 point - the net sales price of the spread including fees.

Provided they are of the same expiry. Otherwise,
    the claxons will sound,
the flashing lights will rotate angrily,
and the head Trader-Nanny of your broker will call you personally to ask,

    "What are you doing?!?!?"

    [(2560 - 2540) - (credit from 2560 put - debit from 2540 put)] x (# of contracts) x 50

I asked for more details and gave a general response. I've never seen the flashing lights or the sound of "claxons". I have heard the sound of a cash register or toilet flushing....... I prefer the cash register!

I never thought of the toilet flush. I wonder if there's a way to customize trade fill sounds with buys using the toilet and sells using the cash register...

  8. If you don't know how to calculate max loss, should most likely stay away from futures options...
