How much are you margined?

Right now I am using 16.23% against assets.

83.767% margin equity. (Assuming I was assigned on my naked SPY puts)

All SPY.

 

No margin at all right now.
Used it earlier for calls. Homerun.
Small gains on some puts.
Lost small on more puts.
Lost on short.
Equities only.

 

During the weekends 200% in the dow, during the week 800%. all using YM.

 

Daytrading stocks. around 33%. No overnight positions (well, most of the days)

 

Better ask in term of leverage. 2:1, 3:1, 20:1, etc.

Margin equity is meaningless and fuzzy because its meaning depends on the definition of margin by your broker/account.

An exchange between two persons:

"Where is the train station? It is in front of the bank. Where is the bank? It is in front of the station".

 

Daytraders are not really important for timing purposes.
