i seem to always get slammed by seasonal market moves
like the ticker im looking at would have good up trend and i buy it and then something happens with market in general and it brings the entire industry down along with the stock in im..(besides stop loss) this is not what im asking
then i go and look around and the pros seem to always be able to explain what exactly is happening and majority of times tthey were able to predict the market move but i dont know how
i know there is a seasonal market trend but so far i wasnt able to find much info on it that correspponds to the market now..
everyone always mentions this seasonal trend but i have yet to find a description that matches what is happening in the market now.
where are yall looking for this elusive seasonal market trend crap lol

    Wut?

We've been in a pandemic market for over a year now. Seasonal trend change hardly even applies in this type of market.

It's always easy to explain why something happened after it has happened.

As for the pros knowing what is going to happen at best it's a lucky guess.

I mean some of them are rather consistent
Im not saying they are always right
But on average alot of them are right about the general market direction.
Or at least able to explain what caused certain move

If i can explain what caused current state its easier to figure out where jt can possibly go next

The explanation is very simple for market moves. It's either more buyers than sellers or vice versa. If the media told you that they wouldn't be able to sell advertising. So they make shit up. Profit taking, the market is taking a rest or it got too far ahead of itself, Risk on/Risk off, once something happens it's easy to explain.

The general direction of the market is up. How hard is that? The market always goes up except when it doesn't!!

Best to go with chart patterns than deal with seasonals. By learning when not to take trades, like learn topping or bottoming patterns, you less likely to be buying into reversal.

Deaddog said it. There are "pros" on both sides of the aisle that are constantly making market assessments, both bullish and bearish. So when the market ranks the media immediately finds the first analyst they can grab to explain why such and such just happened in the market. They are guesses.

I get notifications daily from Investing.com and if the market is down that morning its "Futures slide on fears of Omicron" and if the market is rallying "Futures rally as market shrugs off Omicron fears". You will find any variation of bs they can conjure up to explain a rise and fall, and if they actually could predict it this accurately they would be billionaires.

They are guesses, and that's all. Sure there is some underlying reason the entire market is cratering or rallying, or more likely many reasons that relate to one another. The most important thing is to understand you will never know until after they have happened. Fundamentals are broken now anyways. Want to get ahead of the market? Learn technical analysis. That's the only way you will be able to latch onto the same waves the big boys are.

Do this and whatever reason the market is moving in whatever direction will be irrelevant, because you will see it as it is happening.

im just not understanding the claims that all you have to do is be able to read charts
do they not pay attention to anything else then?
when i look at charts i cant explain shit of whats happening, i can chart and draw out all the same patterns they do but i still cant explain whats happening and where the price might possibly go from there
but then i ask a pro trader to break down the chart for me in chatrooms and they can explain whats happening even though they draw same exact chart patterns

Maybe you should change your focus from what the charts are doing to why they are doing it.
Remember the answers is more buyers than sellers or vice versa.
