Im looking for historical data for options. I'm assuming this won't be free, so what would be the cheapest way to get this. All I need are opening and closing data, nothing fancy.

Do I need to subscribe to platinum to get the options data?

yes you do need to sub to platinum.
the data contains only the closing prices (along with volume and OI). No O, H, L

Also, you may want to contact quantquote.com as I believe they can sell you option data cheaply even though it's not advertized on their website.

It looks like they don't actually provide historical options data. It says unavailable on this page. http://www.eoddata.com/products/historicaldata.aspx
