A problem, of course, is that we have a president who has described himself as "the king of debt." He build his career on debt, and there is no hope that he will ever want to address it. And if he doesn't, then it just won't get done.

I've said this many years ago, but the US debt to GDP is around where Canada peaked out in the 1980s/1990s, and we've reduced ours to where you used to be back then. The late 1990s economy helped, but Canada raised taxes on the middle class until the debt was more manageable. This of course won't be well received by Americans but it's coming probably in two years when it becomes obvious Trump's solutions ( eg tariff revenue ) didn't put a dent in the federal debt ( in fact the opposite is likely under Trump ).

The Republicans and money are like drunken sailors having a night on the town. Trump is of course the worst of the bunch as he puts golden faucets in buildings that eventually go bankrupt.

Trump doesn't know what he just did to himself, if 20% of his base stay home 2026?
What are the odds of JD Vance becoming President before 2028?
If you want less debt, Dems should support Elon.
Turn against your commie deep state.

Seems no matter which party comes out to play its the same thing over and over and over and over again. No one cares about the debt levels this country is in and they will never care. How many times have they raised the debt ceiling ????? Countless times....
If they really really cared about the trillions in debt this country is in they would literally do something about it now, not in a decade or two or five...nowwwwwwwwww. but no one gives a fuck about the nearly 40 trillion in debt the US gas and never ever will!!!

It's funny, you can literally find thousands of articles and videos on this topic....you can listen to all about how its going to create the next crisis but in reality it would already have created the crisis. It seems the more trillions the US gets into the better the outcome for all. Not once have they even tried to curb spending, its already too late to stop, the addiction is real and the crisis everyone talks about, well thats just fairytales and make believe......

  7. Exactly, as I have agreed with in comments, on many social media platforms, for over 30 + years. We have a UniParty. More War, More Taxes, More Debt, More Loss Of Freedoms.

and now Trump and His Compadres' are going to just "move on from the Epstein thing"... Kinda like Obama moved on from holding Bush Jr liable for the War Crimes of the Iraq War...

Also, now, before I really want to post something negative on social media, I need to contact my local AIPAC rep and ask them what is okay to share.

It is getting a lot worse every 4 years... A lot.

Nothing will be done about the growing debt problem because you can't win an election by running on austerity, at least in the US. History proves only an economic collapse will lead to real change. Americans ability to tolerate bad actors is amazing but it fits in with the robber baron culture.

Bill Clinton was successful in reducing the debt but to a degree that was an outgrowth of the Peace Dividend after the collapse of the USSR. He shut down a lot of the Defense Department (mainly in the Long Beach area*) & actually did raise taxes on the upper income folks. But then he lost a lot of seats to the infamous Contract On America by Gingrich and his cronies.

    * My father used to work for McDonnell Douglas during that time and there were a lot of layoffs in his department which made the Stealth Bomber. I'm pretty sure this austerity directly led to the Boeing merger.
