Perfect timing! He sold BTC at $1200. Dang! Then used the proceeds to start a business.

hear that guys! There's more than one way to skin a cat so to speak. Don't bang your head and your life trying to scalp pennies with ES or trying to win a Combine for the 50th time or whatever.

He basically made 100X from $1K to $100K. You can call that luck. Or you can call it being a real opportunist.

So, many different opportunities to create wealth in America. Be creative.

That applies to me as well. Start thinking..

"Finman credits his older brother for turning him on to Bitcoin back in 2012. As reported by CoinDesk, he received 0.2 bitcoins from his sibling and bought more using the $1,000 from his grandmother. He sold them a year later for $100,000, when the price per Bitcoin was about $1,200. Smart move, kid. "

"The Idaho robotics champ and early North Idaho College student used his Bitcoin riches to launchBotangle.com, a burgeoning online video tutoring startup, according to Mashable.
The fee-based e-learning service currently offers 59 impressive subjects, including, of course, Bitcoin and entrepreneurship, along with a wealth of other “resources that just do not exist in a normal classroom setting.” Botangle students can also enroll in computer programming, advanced mathematics (stochastic calculus!), 3D special effects and, oddly, equine nutrition courses."

Of course, theoretically you could have done it anywhere. But America is on average the country that has a system that makes it easy for entrepreneurship(looks at the VC money pouring into Silicon Valley to fund the wackiest ideas), a stable government, a legal system that respects property and intellectual rights, and generally an environment of can-do.

Some might argue we not all that and there's some diminishing of that promise. Regardless of your politics, it's much easier to be a 15 yr old in America doing what that kid did than 15 yr old kid in Iraq, Iran, Ukraine, etc.

  4. it is also much easier to get unlucky in the USA. social mobility is lower than in Europe

i dont really see the value in this website. there are already like 100 websites offering these things. its definately not innovative.

  5. Innovative is worth nothing. The more insipid and obvious the idea, the more likely it's a billion dollar baby.
